Amaka Pricing, Amaka Xero Pricing and Amaka Alternatives for Square and Shopify Sellers
Amaka is a sales sync app, and most people pricing it are really asking one question: what happens to the bill once the store gets busy. The answer is on its own pricing page, read on October 23, 2026. Free covers up to 60 orders a month, one integration and one location, with a single day of back sync. Premium is $18 a month billed annually for up to 500 orders, two integrations and two locations, with 90 days of history. Premium+ is $49 a month billed annually with no order cap, unlimited integrations and locations, and a year of history. Sale fees, refunds and reimbursements do not count toward the limit, which is generous. Amaka also built the official Square and Xero integration on behalf of both companies, and that connector is free whatever plan you are on. So for a single Square location on Xero, the honest first answer is that you may not need to pay Amaka anything. What the app does is post your sales into the ledger: a daily summary invoice or one invoice per order, with Square fees landing as bills when the deposit arrives and a Square Balance clearing account in between. What it does not do is prove the rest of the bank statement. Payroll, card spend, loan draws, ACH batches and transfers between your own accounts never pass through a store, so a sync app never sees them, and that is usually what keeps the month open. Reconciler is that second tool. It reads Square, Stripe and PayPal read-only, reads your bank and Xero, pairs every line and writes a plain English reason under each match. This page sets the two side by side and names the real Amaka alternatives, Synder, Link My Books, Bookkeep and Webgility, with prices read from their own pages.

Honest fit
Which one you should actually pick
Pick Amaka when
Amaka is the better fit, and often the cheaper one by a wide margin, when the job is getting Square, Shopify, WooCommerce or Squarespace sales into Xero as clean invoices. A single Square location on Xero can use the free official connector, a small shop under 500 orders a month pays $18 a month billed annually, and even an unlimited multi-location setup tops out at $49. Nothing else in the category publishes a lower ladder.
Pick Reconciler when
Reconciler is the better fit when the sales side already posts and the books still will not close, because the open lines are everything that never came from a store: card spend, ACH batches covering a dozen invoices, wires, payroll, loan draws, Stripe and PayPal activity, and transfers between your own accounts. A sync app never sees those, and they are what hold up the month.
Questions people ask
Amaka alternatives, answered
How much does Amaka cost?
Amaka publishes three plans in USD, excluding tax, read on amaka.com/pricing on October 23, 2026. Free costs $0 for up to 60 orders a month with one integration, one location and one day of back sync. Premium is $18 a month billed annually for up to 500 orders, two integrations, two locations and 90 days of back sync. Premium+ is $49 a month billed annually with unlimited orders, integrations and locations and 365 days of back sync. The paid plans carry a 7 day trial, and you are not charged during it. Month to month billing is offered at a higher rate.
What is Amaka Xero pricing for Square sellers?
For Square on Xero specifically, the price can be zero. Amaka built the official Square and Xero integration on behalf of both companies, and its pricing page lists Square plus Xero among the integrations available free of charge, regardless of plan. You still pay for Xero itself, $27, $59 or $97 a month on the US plans after the introductory discount. The paid Amaka plans matter when you add a second channel such as Shopify or WooCommerce, or need more back sync than the free connector gives you.
What are the best Amaka alternatives?
The closest Amaka alternatives are Synder, Link My Books, Bookkeep and Webgility, and the deciding factor is the meter your business trips first. Synder meters synced transactions, from $65 a month or $52 billed yearly for 500. Link My Books meters orders and channels, from $20 a month for one channel at 15 orders. Bookkeep meters annual revenue, from $19 a month under $200,000. Webgility meters orders across channels, from $69 a month billed annually for 300. Amaka meters orders and integrations and publishes the lowest ladder of the five.
Does Amaka count fees and refunds toward the order limit?
No. Amaka states on its pricing page that sale related fees, refunds and reimbursements do not count toward your plan limit, so the 60 and 500 order caps are measured on sales. That matters for a Square counter with frequent refunds, where a tool that meters every synced transaction would bill you for the refunds as well. Check how your own volume splits between sales and adjustments before comparing it with Synder, which meters synced transactions.
Does Amaka do bank reconciliation in Xero?
Partly. The Square connector posts sales as invoices and fees as bills, routes card takings through a Square Balance clearing account, and leaves you to reconcile the deposit against that account in Xero. That makes the Square lines on the bank feed clear cleanly. It does not reconcile the rest of the statement: payroll, card spend, loan draws, ACH batches and transfers between your own accounts never pass through Square, so the app never sees them.
Why do my Square deposits still not match Xero after connecting Amaka?
Usually because of timing and fees. Square fees sync when Square deposits the payments to your bank, so a deposit that covers two days of sales, a chargeback, held funds or a Square loan repayment will not equal the day's summary invoice. Transactions synced from a start date of today also appear in Xero the next day. The fix is to reconcile the deposit against the Square Balance clearing account rather than the invoice, and to match adjustments line by line, which is exactly what a matching tool does.
Is Amaka good for US businesses?
Yes. Amaka started in Australia, but its pricing is published in USD and its Square and Xero integration supports the United States along with Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada. For a US seller the main checks are the Xero plan, since the Early plan allows only 5 bills a month and Square fees post as bills, and sales tax, which Amaka posts as an amount on the invoice rather than filing a state return.
Can I use Amaka and reconciliation software together?
Yes, and that is the normal shape for a growing store. Amaka works upstream, turning Square or Shopify sales into invoices so revenue in Xero is right. Reconciliation software works downstream, proving that what Xero now says agrees with the bank, the cards and every processor, including the activity that never came from a store. They read different data and catch different errors, so neither replaces the other.
