How it works
Automated reconciliation software, end to end
Connect your bank, processors and ledger read-only, let Reconciler match transactions across both sides, flag what does not tie out, and explain every match, so the difference lands on $0.00. Here is exactly what happens at every step.
In one paragraph
Reconciler works by connecting your bank feeds, payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Square) and accounting ledger (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) with read-only access, then matching each transaction across both sides using amount, date, memo and processor references. Deposits tie to invoices, Stripe payouts tie to sales batches, and fees tie to fee lines, automatically. Anything that does not tie out, a missing entry, a duplicate, a wrong amount, is flagged for human review with the running difference, and every match comes with a plain-English reason. Nothing auto-posts to your ledger. You review the exceptions and confirm the close. Reconciler is read-only and never moves money.
Connect your sources, read-only
Link your bank feeds, payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Square) and your ledger (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) with read-only access. Reconciler requests the minimum read scopes and never gets permission to move money, so the connection is fast and low-risk. Most teams finish in about 10 minutes.
- Read-only connections
- Bank, Stripe, PayPal, Square
- QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite
- Never permission to move money
Reconciler matches both sides
The AI matches each transaction across both sides of the truth, using amount, date, memo and processor references. A 3,200.00 ACH deposit ties to invoice 1043, payout po_8821 nets 12 charges minus fees to 2,410.00 and ties to the ledger, and a 54.12 processing fee ties to its fee expense line. The first pass runs as soon as your sources connect.
- Amount, date, memo, references
- Deposits tie to invoices
- Payouts tie to sales batches
- Runs automatically
Discrepancies get flagged for review
Anything that does not tie out is flagged, not force-matched: a missing ledger entry for a 1,290.00 payment, a duplicated 615.00 invoice, a wrong amount, an unrecorded fee. The running difference shows exactly how far off the two sides are. Nothing auto-posts, so a person on your team confirms every exception.
- Missing entries and duplicates
- Running difference shown
- Nothing auto-posts
- A person reviews each flag
Every match is explained, and the books close
Each match comes with a plain-English reason: which rule tied the two sides, on what amount and date. The difference is driven to $0.00 and you get an auditable, explainable close in a fraction of the time. It is read-only decision support. Reconciler never moves, holds, or initiates money.
- Plain-English match reasons
- Difference driven to $0.00
- Auditable, exportable trail
- Read-only, never moves money
The guardrail
Read-only by design, on purpose
We read your transactions to match them, we never move a payment, and we never post to your ledger. It is the lowest-risk thing a finance team can plug in.
Read-only access
Reconciler requests read-only access to your bank feeds, processors and ledger. It cannot move, hold, or initiate a payment, and it cannot change anything in your accounting software.
Never moves money
No transfers, no payments, no writes to your ledger. Reconciler reads transactions to match them and flags exceptions. It is an observer, not an actor. Nothing auto-posts.
Encrypted and revocable
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, credentials are least-privilege and scoped, and you can revoke access at any time. See our security posture for the detail.
